Delivery

  • What are the shipping times and who are your delivery partners?
  • Delivery times vary depending on the shipping method chosen at the time of purchase.
    Be aware that our usual processing time at the warehouse takes usually 1-2 days. So you should receive your parcel within the following amount of days: 

    Standard shipping is available with:
    DPD, GLS and DHL to Germany (3-4 working days)
    DPD and Mondial Relay to France (4-7 working days)
    DPD to Austria (4-5 working days)
    GLS to Italy (within 6 working days)
    DPD (transit via MeinEinkauf) to Switzerland (6-8 days)
    Post NL to Belgium and the Netherlands (4-5 working days)
    GLS to Luxembourg (4-6 working days)

    Please note that deliveries to remote areas and islands, with all shipping methods, usually take 1-2 extra working days.

    Don't worry if the tracking link is initially disabled; the tracking link will be activated as soon as your order reaches the first distribution centre after the transit period. Always check this link also to verify delivery attempts that have already taken place and possible problems of the courier in locating your address.

    Please note: In case of increased order volume for e.g. special occasions such as Black Friday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter or Mother's Day, as well as holidays and delivery issues, your order may be slightly delayed. Here, the processing of your order may increase to 3-4 business days plus shipping time.

     

  • Can I track my order?
  • Yes, you can. As soon as your package is on its way, you will receive a shipment confirmation by email.

    • Tracking link: Click on the link in your confirmation email to check the current status of your shipment.
    • If you have an account: Log in and go to “Orders”. Select the relevant order and click “View Tracking” to be taken directly to the carrier’s tracking page.

    Please note:

    • It may take a few hours after receiving the confirmation email for the carrier’s tracking page to update.
    • For orders outside Germany, the tracking link will only activate once your parcel has reached the first distribution center in your country after leaving Germany.
    • Always check the tracking link for updates on delivery attempts or if the courier has trouble locating your address.
  • How much is the shipping?
  • We ship all orders from Germany. For this reason there are no customs duties or import taxes within the EU (incl. Switzerland).

    For orders outside of the EU extra charges can apply. Please note that depending on the country, there are different regulations regarding customs duties or import sales tax. These fees go 100% to the customs of the respective receiving country and must be covered from the customer. If you refuse to accept the order, the fees will still be charged. These fees will be deducted from your credit in case of a return shipment by UPS or DHL.
    For deliveries to Switzerland, the purchase contract is concluded between the buyer and MeinEinkauf AG, St Gallen (CHE-331.561.017 VAT). The latter also takes care of customs clearance, invoicing, and delivery in Switzerland. This service is included in the purchase price and shipping costs charged. To ensure smooth delivery to Switzerland, we would like to inform you, for reasons of transparency, that MeinEinkauf GmbH in DE-Konstanz (DE285677365) is also involved in the retail chain. This does not result in any additional costs for the buyer.

    We do not ship to Slovakia, Sweden, Cyprus, Greece, United Kingdom, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Canada, United States, Mayotte, British Virgin Islands, Martinique, British Indian Ocean Territory, French Southern Territories, St. Martin, Réunion, Guadeloupe, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Portugal, Western Sahara, Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (provinces of Spain).

  • Can I use a relay station for the delivery?
  • Yes, you can, as this delivery option is also the most sustainable of all delivery options. Help us keep CO2 emissions as low as possible by choosing either a DPD or GLS pickup point or a DHL Packstation near you to collect your package.

    Shipping to a DHL Packstation (for Germany)
    Please select the DHL delivery option. Enter your name as usual in the first address line during checkout. In the third line under "Street name and house number," enter "Packstation" instead of your street name, along with the corresponding Packstation number, for example, "Packstation 123." In the fourth line under "Apartment, Room, Postal number," please enter your personal postal number.

    Shipping to a DPD, Mondial Relay or Post NL Pickup Point (for Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and France)
    Enter your delivery address as usual, click "Continue to Shipping," and select the "Delivery to Pickup Point" option. Under the "Select pickup station" option, you can choose your preferred Pickup Point. The pickup points show the distance to your address in kilometers, allowing you to choose the closest one. Select it and click "Confirm selection."

    Please note:
    - Deliveries cannot be made to a pickup station from a different service provider than the one chosen for shipping.
    - When choosing a pickup point, please ensure it is available. Do not select a parcel shop that is marked as temporarily closed.

    Impact of the pick-up point on delivery
    According to the study "E-Commerce and Environment (ESTIA, 2009)", a delivery to a pick-up point emits on average 11.4% less CO2 than a standard delivery. So if you pick up your package on foot, by bike or on the way to another location, you reduce the carbon footprint of your delivery.

     

  • I have chosen as delivery location the drop-off at a spot of my choice ("Ablageort"); what is the difference with a regular delivery?
  • If you decide to deliver your parcel at a spot of your choice at the provided address (e.g. terrace or garage) please make sure that the selected location is safe. Delivery to the place of your choice is at your own risk. If the parcel cannot be found at the place of your choice, neither AVA & MAY nor the carrier will cover the losses.

  • My package has not arrived, what now?
  • It can happen that the parcel gets lost. In this case it's possible that the shipping service provider has handed it over to a neighbour, a family member, or to the nearest parcel store, therefore we kindly ask you to check. If you still can't find your package, contact us within 14 days after the delivery date via chat or our help desk under "Where is my order?" and we will help you.
